“We used to watch them all the time — Chrisley Knows Best, Growing Up Chrisley, all of it,” Kashmir said.
Jackie lit up remembering the cast:
“Todd, Julie, Chase, Savannah, Grayson… and Nanny Faye — I love her!”
The show ran for years, giving fans a peek into the family’s Southern charm, humor, and faith-filled chaos. For Jackie and Kashmir, it was a comfort show — something that felt like home.
When Fame Meets Fallout
Then came the shocking turn. Todd and Julie Chrisley were arrested and convicted for tax evasion and bank fraud — charges that carried heavy sentences.
“I just assumed if a jury convicted them, they must have done it,” Kashmir admitted. “But then Jackie started researching — and it didn’t add up.”
Jackie discovered that Todd’s former business partner was granted immunity in exchange for testifying against them — despite allegedly being the one forging documents himself.
“You give immunity to someone who’s not even a credible witness,” Jackie said. “He was literally doing the things he accused Todd of doing.”
The women also discussed how that same man claimed he had an affair with Todd — a claim that never came with evidence.
“Julie even said, ‘Show me the proof. I know who your man is,’” Jackie recalled with a laugh.
Trump’s Pardon & The Family’s Redemption
After serving time, the Chrisleys’ story took another turn: they received a full pardon from Donald Trump.
“I was so happy for them,” Kashmir said. “They didn’t kill anybody, and yet they were looking at life in prison.”
Jackie agreed, calling the case “politically motivated” and biased:
“I think the jury resented them for their money and for supporting Trump. The judge was against Savannah from the start — it was abuse of power.”
When the pardon came, both women called it “a God wink” — a sign of grace and justice finally served.
The New Reality: Chrisley Knows Redemption
The family’s new show, aired on Lifetime, chronicles their journey after prison. Jackie and Kashmir binged it on Philo and shared their reactions (with plenty of spoilers for fellow fans).
Savannah stepped up as the family’s rock, taking care of her younger siblings and fighting publicly for her parents’ release.
“She was incredible,” Kashmir said. “Savannah was in full action mode, but you could tell Chase was struggling.”
Chase’s emotional battles — including a stint in rehab — were hard to watch but ultimately inspiring.
“You could see he was lost, but I’m so proud he got help,” Jackie said.
The Family Rift: Lindsay’s Betrayal
One of the most heartbreaking parts of the show? The rift between Todd and his oldest daughter, Lindsay.
Before going to prison, Todd started the Chrisley Confessions podcast to try and reconnect. But it was revealed in court that Lindsay had been cooperating with the FBI.
“That was just shocking,” Kashmir said. “She was working with them for 18 months. It broke my heart for Todd.”
The duo discussed how the investigation was handled — including claims of an Lindsay texting an IRS agent who improperly entering the family’s storage unit and seizing belongings without a valid warrant.
“They got their furniture back, and it was destroyed,” Jackie said. “It was so shady.”
Hope, Healing & Faith
Despite the drama, both women said seeing the family reunited was the highlight.
“It was worth the watch,” Kashmir said. “Seeing them hug again, pray together, and rebuild — it was powerful.”
Jackie nodded:
“They’re proof that even in the middle of chaos, God can turn it around. Grace wins.”
